SMALL CHANGES……
When we try to get back to eating healthy, working on our fitness, being disciplined in our prayer life or being disciplined at anything actually. We sometimes make things really hard on ourselves. We set such high unobtainable goals, and when we don’t reach them right away, we give up.
Start with small changes. Like with our diet, which does not mean you are on a “Diet”. Diet means simply what you feed your body. Small changes lead to healing, restorative changes in the body, so start small.
One thing you can change is to cut out processed foods such as white bread and pasta.
Instead of pasta you can use spaghetti squash or zucchini noodles with your meat sauce.
First you slice your zucchini. I picked up this little gadget and it works very well.
Then you can slightly saute your “noodles” in a little olive oil.
Pour the meat sauce over it, season with turmeric, a little sea salt and some heat if you want it. Voila. Healthy and actually tasty spaghetti. (We’ll talk about turmeric and it’s amazing healing properties later)
