Saturday we held our first layering workshop. I asked the ladies to bring in a small piece of furniture and to have the colors they wanted to use in mind.
I looked at their pieces and they told me what they wanted to accomplish, we picked out colors and waxes and went to work.
First up is Katie. She drove from Morgan City and is a new customer. I loved meeting her and I think she really enjoyed herself along with what she created. She wants to use this same finish on some other pieces in her home, can’t wait to see.
This is her table before:
And this is Katie with her piece after.
Katie layered with Heirloom Traditions Sea Green, Row House and Privilege. She waxed with Muddy Pond. We all loved how it turned out!
Then we had Joan who bought in a window one of the many she scored in New Orleans. She had some fabric that she was trying to match but I did not get a pic of it. This window is going to go above the desk in her office.
Joan at work. Notice the smile. Our workshops are fun 🙂
This is Joan with her finished piece. She ended up with a great vintage weathered look.
Joan layered with Heirloom Traditions Lantern,
Thunderous and Mocha.
She used our Clear Wax to finish.
This is Julana. She wanted to have this chair in Black but wanted a rusty red to show through when she would lightly distress it. She did not get to finish but she used Heirloom Traditions Daredevil and Black Bean. She will be doing an entire Dining Room Set. She promised me she will send after pictures so we can see the final results.
Julana in her happy place.
Sandy and Katie hard at work.
And last but not least Sandy. She bought in two tables with marble tops. So pretty.
On the first table Sandy used Heirloom Traditions Navel, Venetian and Row House. She was brave enough to try our NEW Metallic Top Coat in Champagne Shimmer.
These pics don’t do this piece justice.
It came out beautiful.
On this one, she just dry brushed a little of the Venetian over the original stain and waxed with Barnwood Wax.
We had a great time and everyone learned so much.
