So I had to have a TV cabinet built for our master bedroom. I wanted something tall enough and wide enough for the space and could not find anything to fit so I had my go to carpenter build a custom one.
So I knew I wanted gray, but I wanted it to look old so I just started layering and here is the process.
First I started with Heirloom Traditions Row House
Second I layered with Heirloom Traditions Mocha
Third I added Heirloom Traditions Black Bean
Then I layered Heirloom Traditions Repose over that.
This is what it looked like at that point.
So then I waxed with Heirloom Traditions Barn Wood Wax.
I used Heirloom Traditions Aurora Staining gels in Black and Grey only for the top. Only because I had not used them yet and wanted to see what it would look like. It came out great! Looks very close to my finish on the cabinet body.
So I wanted more depth and I added the staining gels over what I had already done.
I used the Aqua Clear top coat to seal the whole thing.
I really love how it came out. But now I want to paint my walls an old antique white. Oh well, it never ends!
