Do you remember when I made a haul at the Habitat for Humanity Restore in Pensacola in June of last year? Probably not huh. Ok here is the link to read about that day. Habitat for Humanity Restore haul in Pensacola.
This post is about the lamps I found that day. “Painted Lamps before and after”
Here are a pic of the things I found that when I shopped the Habitat for Humanity Restore. Check out those floor lamps. I got them for $12.50. I couldn’t wait to get them home to restore them. Haha that was in June of 2015 and I finally got around to them last month in December. Do you do that too? I have so many projects and have good intentions to get to them. That is one of my goals this year. To tackle all of the projects on my to do list. Like NOW.
On to the lamps.
They were not in bad shape considering they spend half the year in my garage. The base of the lamps were quite heavy, so I decided to use them on the patio for some extra lighting at night.
They were painted a rusty kind of gold color, but for my newly stained patio I knew I wanted to paint them gray. So I chose Heirloom Traditions Thunderous and waxed them with Dark Umber Wax.
This was the finish before.
I love how they turned out. This was a rush job but they work.
I picked up a couple of lamp shades from Walmart. The gray on the lamps and the gold of the shades coordinate well with the newly stained patio floor.
The lamps go great with these super cute outdoor pillows.
You can find these pillows at Amazon.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I appreciate it!
Talk to you soon,
Debbie
