Staining concrete and patio tour
We built our house in 2009 and have wanted to do something with the cement floor in the patio since then. I went back and forth trying to decide whether to install tile or to get the concrete stained. We finally made the decision to stain and we love it. We hired Keefe Duhon of Concrete Revolution. He is located in South Louisiana but has worked all over the United States. He does residential and commercial work.
This is the patio before they came to stain it. It was stained from the weather around where the rugs used to be.
This is looking toward the fireplace.
And this is the opposite side of the patio looking towards the outdoor kitchen.
Keefe and his crew came in, cleaned and prepared the concrete, taped and papered the bottom of the patio to protect the bricks and got started. Here is Keefe in action. He really takes pride in his work and it shows.
This is a close up of the texture overlay.
He blended gray and blond stains to coordinate with the bricks.
These are the after shots looking toward the fireplace. I forgot to take pics of the concrete completed before we put everything back, but you can see it pretty good in these photos.
Ah, one of my favorite spots.
This is the other side of the patio looking back toward the outdoor kitchen and dining area.
It came out great! We are very happy with it! You can find these cute pillows on Amazon!
On to the next project……..
