Shooting in the dark with no flash or lights
I took a chance at doing this photo session close to dark. I didn't have my flash or lighting but I was hoping between my Canon R5 camera, the Canon 28 - 70 f2 lens and shooting at a high ISO, I could get some shots. Boy did we! These are just a few. Photo Encaustic Cloud Study #7 36" x 48" on Birch Cradled Panel This is my largest Photo Encaustic project so far. It was a challenge but I love the outcome. I took this picture in 2015 off the cost of Florida from the boat while watching the Blue Angels perform overhead. This huge cloud formation was in the sky and it took my breath away. I knew this would become art one day. Back then I had never heard of Encaustics. I love this medium, especially incorporating it with photography. It gives …
